Vitamin-C Infusions
Vitamin-C Infusions have many uses in modern medicine

Since as early as the 1950’s, Vitamin-C treatment has been researched as an effective way of treating/preventing even the most stubborn of diseases, including cancer[1], and has been generally known to be a key element of human health. It’s common for individuals to stay focused on consuming the right amount of nutrients with their diet, but in some scenarios that just isn’t enough. While having the right diet is necessary to living a healthy lifestyle, the body may absorb anywhere from 10%-90% of the nutrients consumed, and in some cases less with patients experiencing a disorder or ailment of some kind.

Vitamin-C deficiency can cause a number of healthy defects, including scurvy, but can show itself through rough or bumpy skin due to weakened collagen, abnormal hair and nail growth, easy bruising, weak bones, poor immunity, fatigue and poor mood, and slower healing. Its obvious that this nutrient is incredibly vital to the human body, but even more so for those who are in the process of fighting disease as it helps neutralize free radicals from the body, regulates certain body processes and prevents cellular damage.

What is IV Vitamin C?

IV Nutritional Therapy, developed in the 1930’s and more widely made available in the 1960’s, has been a known as a useful strategy in assisting the human body process and put into use the nutrients it needs at a faster and more effective level.

This method, also known as IVC, is incredibly helpful, as opposed to simple dietary consumption, because the human body simply would not be able to support such a high-level of digested Vitamin-C. By infusing this into the bloodstream, we allow the body to consume higher doses and allow for more effective results throughout. IVC helps achieve peak concentrations within the bloodstream on the order of ten millimolars while helping deficient patients achieve lower peak plasma concentrations – necessary levels for health and fighting off/resisting ailment.

Intravenous high-doses of Vitamin-C have proven to have very little side effects in clinical trials, and are an effective way of assuring that the right amount of the nutrient get to the body by directly feeding it into the patient’s bloodstream. These treatments are ideal for toxicity, Hepatitis, immune system problems, cancer, fatigue, weakness, Mono, bacterial infection, viral infection, as an adjuvant treatment for cancer and other chronic viruses. One specific IV treatment that includes Vitamin-C is the Myer’s Cocktail. This treatment has been known to help improve quality of life for patients, with a mixture of Vitamin-C, magnesium, trace minerals and Vitamin-B, by decreasing fatigue, depression, migraines, and rhinitis, and have shown to improve symptoms of hyperthyroidism, asthma, and cardiovascular diseases.

We believe that IVC and other forms of IV Nutritional Therapy are a tested and helpful tool that can change the quality of life for near any individual. Having this included in your treatment plan, including Vitamin C infusions for high blood pressure, can help your practice provide more holistic results to patients, and build your reputation as an effective physician. Vitamin-C infusions have shown promise in reducing blood pressure, particularly in individuals with hypertension.
